SHIPPING POLICY
Gallery de la Fruz
gallerydelafruz.com
1. General Information
We carefully prepare and pack each artwork to ensure safe delivery.
We ship original artworks and paintings within the Czech Republic, across Europe, and internationally, subject to carrier availability and destination restrictions.
All orders are dispatched after successful payment confirmation.
2. Processing Time
Orders are processed without undue delay after payment is received.
Processing time may vary depending on:
- availability of the artwork,
- packaging requirements,
- shipping destination,
- the need for special handling or insurance.
If an artwork requires special packaging or handling due to its fragility, size, frame, or value, processing may take longer.
3. Delivery Time
Estimated delivery times are approximate and depend on the selected carrier and destination.
Delivery times may also be affected by:
- customs procedures,
- public holidays,
- force majeure events,
- delays caused by the shipping carrier.
Gallery de la Fruz is not liable for delays caused by third-party carriers or customs authorities once the shipment has been handed over for transport.
4. Shipping Methods
Orders are shipped using delivery methods selected by the Seller according to the nature, dimensions, fragility, and value of the artwork.
For fragile, framed, oversized, or high-value artworks, we may use special packaging, insured shipping, or an individually arranged delivery method.
5. Shipping Fees
Shipping fees are displayed during checkout before the order is submitted.
If special shipping arrangements, oversized packaging, or additional insurance are required, the Seller reserves the right to agree on individual shipping conditions with the customer before dispatch.
6. International Shipping and Customs
For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, local fees, and other charges may apply depending on the destination country.
Such charges are the responsibility of the customer unless expressly stated otherwise.
The customer is also responsible for ensuring that the ordered goods may be lawfully imported into the destination country.
7. Delivery Address
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and correct delivery address.
If the shipment is returned due to an incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable address provided by the customer, the Seller may require reimbursement of the repeated shipping costs before resending the order.
8. Inspection Upon Delivery
The customer is required to inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery.
If the package shows visible signs of damage, we strongly recommend:
- taking clear photographs of the outer packaging before opening,
- taking photographs of the inner packaging and the artwork immediately after opening,
- reporting the damage to the carrier where possible,
- contacting us without undue delay at art@gallerydelafruz.com.
Prompt inspection and photo documentation are important for assessing transport damage and any carrier claim.
9. Damaged Shipments
If the artwork, frame, glass, or packaging is damaged during transport, the customer must notify us as soon as possible and provide:
- order number,
- description of the damage,
- detailed photographic documentation,
- photographs of the shipping label and packaging.
Failure to report visible transport damage promptly may make it more difficult to verify the claim against the carrier. This does not affect mandatory consumer rights regarding defective goods. Consumer complaint rights still apply to defects appearing within the legal period, generally up to 2 years from receipt for consumer goods.
