Description

This artwork is a metaphor for the liberation of the soul and breaking free from
invisible boundaries that confine us. The female figure appears blurred, as if she exists on
the edge of the material and ethereal worlds. She holds a parrot on her arm, which is
soaring upward, spreading its wings—a symbol of inner strength, the desire to fly, and to
be free.

Nearby, another bird holds a lantern in its beak, serving as a keeper of light, a
guide illuminating the way. The empty cage remains behind; its bars no longer restrain
either the birds or the woman herself.

Vibrant, dynamic brushstrokes create a sense of movement and energy, while the
rich colors of the parrots contrast with the cooler background, enhancing the symbolism of
overcoming limitations. This painting embodies struggle and triumph, doubt and
courage, but ultimately—the attainment of freedom
